When you order Rhododendrons from our web site, the plant's weight is automatically calculated into the ordering system. When you go to "VIEW ORDER" and you select, "CHECK OUT", you have to fill out the Billing/Shipping Information. At this page, you are asked, "What Shipping Method" do you wish to have us utilize. If you select UPS Ground Service, your order's total weight is multiplied by the average price per pound to your specific ZIP CODE. Your Zip Code, is figured into the cost to have your order shipped. If you choose 3-Day Select UPS service, the price is increased from that of UPS Ground Service.
UPS Ground Service or UPS 3-Day Select Service?:
If you are ordering plants from the West Coast, you have no other choice but to receive your plants via UPS Ground Service. (OR, WA, CA, ID, NV)
If you are ordering plants from the East Coast, you have the option for UPS Ground Service or UPS 3-Day Select Service. We recommend UPS 3-Day Select Service.
Customer Pick-Up:
Please call ahead of time! We will need 1-Week advanced notice. The best way to have plants ready for Customer Pick-Up is to place your order from the web site and select, "Customer Pick-Up" in the Shipping Method. You will not be billed for shipping if you choose Customer Pickup. We we will have the order ready for you to pick up on your specified shipping date. Call us to verify that the order is ready. All Customer Pick-Up's are assumed to be left in containers.
International Shipments, including Canada:
We can ship virtually anywhere in the world. We will not be capable of shipping outside the US without having a minimum order met of no less than $500 US Funds. We will expect the customer to have access to a FAX machine and be knowledgeable of their specific country's IMPORT Permit process for importing plants. There is a $15 US Dollar fee for Phytosanitary Certificates. Additional fees, such as Root washing, Insecticidal drenching, spraying or fumigation costs are all the responsibility of the customer and will be due PRIOR to shipment. Cartage to Portland International Airport will also be paid for by the customer at the rate of .10 cents per pound and no less than $35 US dollars. We will use only Air-Freight carriers that regularly fly into the Portland International Airport. All Shipments must be prepaid and directly billed from customers credit card. Any loss, damage or other unfortunate circumstance or incidents during shipping are not the responsibility of "A Sandy Rhododendron" -(rhodo.com).
